I found the attached photo languishing among many on eBay and thought it interesting enough to post.

The custom body (possibly Bender) sits on what appears to be a White Model 613 chassis circa 1930 with the only attempt at modernization being the added signal fixtures on the fenders (which may have been required).

Fleet number 51, a 21 passenger 'high' headroom city transit design, was operated by the Mountain Transit Corporation with its side destination sign set for 'Brooklyn'.

At the time, there were literally hundreds of small charter companies in and around the New york metropolitan area and most offered reasonably priced fares to upstate mountain resorts for those who could not afford cars or trains.

Among the best known operators of the day were the Ridgewood and Logan Coach companies of Glendale, Queens.

Divining the intent of old photos: With period WHITE production, I carry around a thought of default Bender coachwork...

This led to some logical dilemmas, with respect to ID of straight truck, moving van in Mighty Joe Young. IIRC, this proved
a WHITE built body, else much work by Gerstenslager...
