Thanks a bunch. I never expected to get that many photos worthy of posting. My intentions that afternoon was to hit a couple of hot spots since I didn't have much time to spare. When I went downtown, I stood at a couple of intersections and walked along a few streets and I was getting pics almost non-stop.

Nice work, WJ!
I never realized just how popular Orions are in the DC metro area until I visited Alexandria a couple of years ago. In addition to WMATA's big Orion fleet, nerly every DC carrier seems to have some on the roster.
Many of these buses sport some sharp paint schemes, too. The Fairfax Connector comes to mind, but that Ride On Orion I in the first shot really looks very cool and modern.

Yes - Orion is well represented in the DC area. I'm no big Orion fan and I'm happy that WMATA now has plenty of New Flyers. At this point Orions still accounts for just over half the fleet, but thankfully WMATA now has plenty of New Flyers. Most of us hate to see the Flxibles go, but many of them are rather tired.

I always thought Ride-On's color scheme is very well done and seems to be ageless. It actually dates back to the late 80s.
