I have to wonder if at least some of those responsible for the upkeep of old-style "roller curtains" were retrained to maintain that of the electronic signs. If so, sounds similar to the 19 ...

Transign was the original owner of the TransDot electronic signage system (their name was on the controls of the first TA and OA RTS's from 1981) but by the time the 1983 order of RTS's arrived owners ...

Like GRUMMANS/METROS, I never cared for the "flip dot" (or whatever the heck you call these newfangled signs!) on the RTS.

Pictures of FACCo. WHITES are virtually non-existent.

In fact, I never knew that company even operated them until I first read the Ogden book.

I noticed from old pics that both FACCo and NYCO had a few Whites on the road starting in the late 1930's, alongside the Yellows which were their usual fleet.

Looks like that pic was 1972, based on one bus being 'Tee-Yay' green and the other bearing the two-tone blue but with gold leaf bus numbers (later changed to silver). The blue bus had 'to Fort Tryon ...

A few early 70's photos of Fishbowls still attired in classic "Tee-Yay" green; it is easy to see why such vehicles are still highly regarded as "classics" today.........
