Far Rockaway definetly has the best logo out of any of the PBL's.
There's that black brick road again, just like the one in the LGA logo.

Rockaway joins the ranks of College Point, La Guardia and Eastchester in the needs 5 more minutes Work in MSPaint to become good, category. Baisley Park needs more work then that, and Yonkers just needs to be fully replaced.

The train and the brick (?) roadway look like they were drawn by a kid. Totally ruins the logo for me.

The Far Rockaway logo is very nice! The A train could had been a little better in terms of how it was done. At least the MCI is pretty much looks real and 10 times better then the MCI in the Eastchester depot logo

A MTA Bus depot sticker that has a lot of color yet isn't so busy unlike Baisley Park. The Far Rockaway sticker is cool although I agree with Jim on the two cons, the train and road makes the design look crude. Should have just went with a plain black road then I may have overlooked the blocky train design. In general these designs have been underwhelming.

Does anyone think they were going for a boardwalk look? I am curious, what does it take for a depot logo to be retouched. ex Flushing to CS etc. Thanks

When they change the Flushing Logo. To Stengel all they did was make up new logos. with Stengel on it. The only logo that change is the old 5th Ave Depot in Brooklyn. with the Depot name change to Gleanson Depot."Pipe"

I saw a JFK Depot jacket today with what may be the logo on the back of it. It was a pic of part of terminal 4 and JFK tower with an MCI cruiser in front of the building and the tower rises above the bus with one airplane on each side of it. Again not sure if this is the logo or just a jacket design but it looked really nice.

Why would an MCI cruiser be on JFK's depot logo if all of them are down here in Rockaway? I can understand why Far Rockaway's logo has one. Baisley Park has the O7 cause they're getting them. La Guardia got an RTS. Why not put an O5 at least in JFK's logo?

True the new logos are a mixed bag, but after all...so are the old NYCT logos. I can't get behind any of the Queens division logos. Casey Stngel is the best by default, the other two are so generic it hurts. Of the three logos I see in my part of northeastern Queens (Queens Village, Jamaica, and College Point), I'll take College Point any day! And I really like both LGA and Far Rockaway. Andrew

I thought the crusiers couldnt fit in JFK? Something about its lengh and the A/C units. and La Guardia seems so.... bootleg! I had high hopes after I first saw CP's. BP has a nice one. I was able to take a pic of it off of an ex-NYCT RTS 82XX series. Is Spring Creek's out yet?

I said it on another message board, and I will say it here, modified. The brick road is to represent what it feels like you are driving on, when driving a bus on NYC pothole ridden streets. The train and the brick (?) roadway look like they were drawn by a kid. Totally ruins the logo for me.

Wouldn't it be nice for the new logos being designed for the former PBL depots to include a 'ghostly' background image of a classic bus from the defunct company? ie; a 1939 'CM' Mack (Green Line) for JFK or an early forties Twin Coach (Jamaica) for Baisley and so on. This would leave an indelible mark not only for us to enjoy but also for all future bus aficionados! Mr. Linsky

Yeah, they bring the MCI cruisers into the building via the side door, as far as maintenance and all that I have no idea as I've not seen them after they've returned from a hard day of work but I haven't noticed what they do after that except for going into the side.

The NYCTA Depot Logo's where designed by T/A and O/A Employee's. Each Depot had a chose of three to pick from. That how we did it in Flushing Depot (Stengel) "Pipe"

No, it was members who design and submit them for MTA Bus. Savage and company pick the one they like. Union members had no say in the winner.

Thats what i thought they wrer gonna do. or at least something similar. When i saw CP's sticker with the old Queens Surface clover i was expecting a sign of the old PBL's in each one. all ive seen since that has been close is BP's with the Jamaica Bus colors around it (nice touch i might say) and LaG's (the red around it which could have been coincidence since i like Yonkers' sticker better than LaG's). I havent seen JFK's yet but i hope it has green. Im thinkin of drawing my own for the fun of it. Maybe even posting them for all of u to check out and give feedback.

I snapped a photo of our new logo about an hour and half ago in our swing room. I don't know if anyone remembered that I said that there was one made better than what I'm about to post but there was some crookery going on that it mysteriously disappeared. Well look what's going up on the buses I believe sometime this weekend. Alot of drivers that seen it don't like it. Baisley has the best one by far in my opinion.

Oh dear god, what the hell is that? Absolutely no remnants to Command and on top of that it looks so cheap. Man I wish the SC drivers can tell their supervisors to take it down (change it please). Its worse than I thought and whats with the flowers at the bottom? Well thanks for sharing.

I'm trying to figure out what that logo is supposed to represent. Aside from the fact that it looks as if it were hand-drawn by a 3rd grader, it doesn't seem to represent anything MTA Bus related. Are we now in the dandelion or sunflower business (sorry, I'm not much of a flower person)?

Let's review. Seven MTA Bus logos are provided below. By the way, I had seen a much larger and better detailed scan or photo of the Baisley Park logo floating around a while ago, but can't seem to locate it now. Anyone have it?
(Note: No need to download the below image. You are already viewing it full-sized, as they are only thumbnails).

Spring Creek is worse than Baisley Park. It's the worst depot logo I've ever seen.
Those buildings are horribly drawn (and what do they represent?) And there aren't any Command colors on it!
BTW -- we still need a JFK depot logo. Hopefully they'll have a chance to redeem themselves by making a decent logo, though I doubt that at this time.

In my opinion, the Baisley Park logo outshines them all. And I don't like that the College Point logo isn't fully circularly enclosed.

I see what I can do that. For that South Park drawing is unacceptable! Theres no bus on it! spoke to a driver how had created one that I think was a nice representation of SC. He said that he had drawn the bus garage with the MTA logo on it with an Orion V driving through a puddle of water which is suppose to be Spring Creek the water has the splashing effect he said as the bus is going through it. Also he added a weed you know the kinda plant life that grows near water. He put MTA BUS as the bus destination sign in front. I didn't see it but to me that sounded pretty color compared to what I posted. He suppose to let me see it. When he does I'll ask if I could snap a picture of it.

Well, i rear my head again and this time i am disappointed it seems as if they can never get it right. to date they have designed Seven Depot Logos a few are satisfactory some are exemplary and some just don't cut it. Spring Creek is a prime example of shoddy drawing skills the building's i must say look like a burnt out bomb shelter other then something liveable. I am disgusted at what they have chosen to represent my home Depot.

I could tell you that Spring Creek had a pretty decent logo but the buildings looking so bootleg that it just ruined it. I pretty much understand what the flowers where for and they where trying to do the buildings of Starrett City. At least the buildings on the Eastchester logo is a bit realistic in some kind of way. This is my list of my favorite MTA Bus depot logos by far
1. Rockaway 2. Baisley Park 3. LaGuardia 4. College Point 5. Eastchester 6. Yonkers 7. Spring Creek

Honestly the ideal logo for me with SC would have been green and yellow on the outer rim of the logo. Put the buildings from Starrett city (if they really want to). Make the sky blue with white clouds (obviously). Then throw in a Orion V CNG (MTA Bus livery) and if they really want to go patriotic, they can put a small flagpole with a flag.. Thats what I would have imagined they would have came up with but this logo by far this is horrible and very cheap looking. I hope JFK will have a better one because I'm gonna have to stare at that logo for a long time. What would you have all done if you were to design a logo for SC?

Out of all of them, I would prefer LaGuardia, Far Rockaway, and Yonkers. Spring Creek just looks terrible. I think Far Rockaway and JFK will be related.

The Spring Creek logo is truly awful, they should really go back to the drawing board and make an improvement. I would have at least expected some green and yellow on the decal, no need for them to have a third logo with some reference to the American flag. The way I would have drew SC was green circle border, yellow lettering including a sign saying Spring Creek Depot [the words MTA Bus would be on the bottom half of the circle] in front of the backdrop of Starrett City buildings, blue sky and maybe a bus.
In ranking the decals, the only one to me which was done nicely was College Point and to an extent Far Rockaway.
College Point Far Rockaway Eastchester Baisley Park Yonkers LaGuardia Spring Creek

I'm going to throw up! What in SAM HILL kind of logo is that? You've got to be kidding me? Spring Crack chose THAT for a decal? The buildings look like something off of the Conan O'Brien Show. I bet a pre-schooler can make a better decal than that. MTA Bus and Spring Creek should be ashamed of themselves. What an embarrasment! Here's my rundown: Far Rock College Point Eastchester La Guardia Baisley Park Yonkers Spring Crack

I sure hope they decide not to put that decal on Spring Creek's Buses. What a disgrace to one of my favorite depots.
