I passed by LGA this morning.  7213 has SCRAP written on the windshield.  The rear destination sign has been removed along with the farebox.  Not sure the reason why this bus is scrap but it is.
1185 could be next- had O/S Tranny on it.  7174 has O/S Cel on it.  7206 and 9741-I forget what they said on the windshield.  If I can remember or if I pass by there again later on, I'll post it.

The GMCs are probably scrap. However, unless the TMCs have SCRAP on the front windsheid, or look completely toasted as a result of fire (7213 was clearly marked as SCRAP), they might not yet be scrap. (Hold off on the 5900s.)

Also, if a bus is still licensed, it isn't scrap.

Also, 7868 and 7888 went to Eastchester.

Does anyone know exactly what happened to MTA Bus 745 ex Command 4969 for it to be scrapped. Did it have a fire or was it in a very bad accident or was the bus not structurally sound. Can someone fill me in?

Command #4969 was in a terrible accident a while back. However, it seems as though no one wants to pay the penalty to scrap a federally purchased bus before 12 years (even if it has no value left---although it should be used as a parts bus.)

I am going to venture a guess and say 321 (May 1985) is the oldest bus on the roster, followed by 323 and 327.

I was told that about 100 buses have left the Eastchester property one way or another.

I have heard that 11 RTS are leaving left Far Rockaway on there way to bus heaven. 4287 4250 4265 4262 4232 4295 are number I was given. Also heard Orion Hybrids are arriving to replace them.
