I didn't know 746 was repainted at Spring Creek.  I haven't seen that bus.  711 is done it was on the road last night.  There is another Orion CNG getting stripped down in the shop.  A JFK or Far Rock Orion V came over to SC for repainting Saturday.  I didn't get the number though.  It should be done soon though.  They waste no time painting the buses nowadays.

Fully repainted as in a blue stripe in the back along with Orion 05.501 CNG #9889? To me, that's FULLY repainted.

9861 is all white in the back, I think it's safe to say that the bus company orion v will be without the stripe on the back.

If you're wondering why all the Orion Vs have their rears all white, get a look at the rear of JFK Orion 5939.  If the blue stripe was on it, then you'll see the blue stripe then a white or gray panel.  I think they are trying to prevent that but if they must, then the gray panel will be applied but will be repainted white in a fair amount of time.

Also, this is kinda strange to report, but 1174's body has been repainted all white except for the roof which is where the Ex-JBL red bolt still remains. What JFK did to this bus-I have NO Clue.  Be on the lookout for it.  I spotted it on the Q11 tonight.

funny thing. i saw 1174 today and remembered this message on the post. It still hasn't changed. it past me this morning NIS on B44th st heading to the Far Rockaway depot. couldn't get my cam phone ready quick enough to take a few good pics. took 2 though

Speaking of the rear panels, do you mean 5939 or 5949 (the only repaint thus far with a rear stripe)?

I think he meant 5939 because they had to replace the panel where the right rear lights are with a gray panel, so if there was a blue stripe in the back it would look really weird.

I saw bus 9839 on Q66 at Flushing Main street today. When they repainted it they left a bid of the old number it once was with queens surface before mta bus. the number was 407,and noticed it above the door when boarding. but is basically faded.
