EXCELLENT CONDITION! Used, but well maintained according to factory service schedules, by factory trained, licenced Union mechanics, using OEM parts!! These were long haul commuter buses, NOT inner City buses! Bus(es) were driven directly to their current location from the SF bus yard auction in January 2005 and have been in storage since. Former Golden Gate Transportation vehicles and well maintained to factory and CAL OSHA standards. Vehicle batteries (4) seem to be discharged and will need to be jumped, charged or replaced. One sample bus was selected at random recently, started, run and all systems checked out fine.

The Rapid Transit Series (RTS) bus is a long-running series of transit buses originally manufactured by General Motors (the last generation of that company's long bus heritage) First produced in 1977, the RTS was GMC's entry into the Advanced Design Bus project and is the descendent of GMC's entry in the U.S. Department of Transportation's "Transbus" project. The RTS is notable for it's futuristic styling featuring a curved body and window panels and the design has become timeless as its predecessor. RTS-08 (1989-94): Easily spotted by the radically different front end and the presence of a slide-glide front door; the front door has been widened, resulting in a completely redesigned, flatter windshield.

You are welcome to schedule an inspection PRIOR to the end of the auction and before you bid, not after. Once you win the auction, payment must be received PRIOR to your access or delivery of vehicle (s). Email me for contact info and to schedule a date and time for inspection.

Shipping is not offered. Buyer is to remove the vehicle from it's current location at Solano Way, Concord, California 94520 USA within 10 days.
